Acknowledging the problem, it is said, is the first step to recovery... So in anticipation of the expected awful behavour of many of their fans as they play Tottenham Hotspur tomorrow, Chelsea's official site today issued the following candid statement:
"The club has been praised for the huge strides made in tackling racism at Stamford Bridge and we want to ensure that any fans who use anti-Jewish abuse during the game are identified and appropriate action taken."
"Hissing noises, singing songs about 'yids' and other offensive songs about Jewish people are unacceptable.
"Anybody caught chanting or making anti-semitic or racist remarks will be arrested and prosecuted by the police. Chelsea will also ban guilty offenders from Stamford Bridge."
Well done CFC.

There is no place for racism in football. Chelsea do well to distance themselves from the headcases...
I have encountered racist behavour at Stamford Bridge endlessly over the years.
I hope they can kick it out, but I doubt it!
I've never heard anything bad at the bridge, well not in the last five years anyway...
Cheatski, a dreadful stadium full of awful fans. Enough said really.
